Napoli are interested in signing James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, according to Marca.
The Colombian joined Real in 2014, when Carlo Ancelotti was in the Santiago Bernabeu dugout, and it seems the 59-year-old is keen on a reunion with the player he brought to Madrid as an extremely hot young prospect, following his exploits in the World Cup held that year in Brazil.
James just finished his two-year loan spell with Bayern Munich, which was agreed when Zinedine Zidane, at the beginning of his first spell as Real head coach, dropped him from the starting XI completely due to a change in the system.
Bayern haven t chosen to activate the option to sign the attacking midfielder permanently for €42 million which was included in the loan deal, and his future remains unclear with Zidane still unwilling to count on him.
Napoli already have a very formidable team, and adding the 27-year-old to their ranks would likely improve their chances of usurping Juventus as the dominant force in Italian football.
